Two weeks into our ownership of a calligraphy and experienced a huge issue on a mini road trip. Out of nowhere the audio system thinks it is connected to a phone and i can no longer control the audio volume (it always says "phone" when I try and adjust it) and I am never heard by voice recognition, as it is listening to whatever phone or thinks it is connected to. I can change the mode fine, FM, Sirius etc but can't change the volume. further I can't turn the sound off, it says the radio is off but it keeps playing in the background. I disconnected all phones, restarted everything etc, no luck. On top of this it doesn't seem like there remote start is working, so wondering if entire system is on the fritz. Taking it in the dealer asap

Try the small, recessed reset button located to the right of the Tune knob.

Thanks Eric. It “fixed” itself yesterday, If it happens again I’ll give that a try. Assuming that will wipe all the customizations and saved stations though?

I'm not sure. I've never had to use it.

Thank you all. I have 2021 Calligraphy. It was doing the exact same thing. Also seems to be a few other electronic glitches that make me think there are issues, but maybe they are all doing this. Do we possibly need a software update?

Yes, it will wipe it clean. I have not had to do it with our new Calligraphy but the 2020 Limited I did and it did erase saved stations, phones and vehicle settings.

2021 Palisade- My wife just called me saying the car has the same exact problem. Says the phone is connected, trys to mess with the volume and it says the volume of the phone is going up. Turned the car off and when it came back on the volume was up way loud, turned the radio off but can hear the volume of the radio still loud, she tried to turn the volume down but then it says phone volume and shows it going down, turned the vehicle off again and back on and then the volume of the radio is down. Looks like I will be playing with it after work today. Looks like the reset button might be the key, but looks like some it reset it to factory default and some it didnt.

I just had to use it because volume was stuck at 26. It rebooted the computer. It did NOT reset to factory default so it kept all settings and fixed the volume issue
Every once in awhile, my daio says it's on level 1, but it'at full blast and you cant turn it down. If you turn the car off, it still stays the same when you restart it, The car has to sit overnight to fix itself. Problem is that it never seems to do it when I can get to the dealer..Grrr...My car has 2000 miles on it, and have had so many problems...I'm actually going to the Seattle car show ti see what other cars are out there..

What did you do to fix it? I am having the exact same issue.
