Just to replace the hideous Hyundai emblem; that's all. Plus it's fun to see stumped people wonder what it is. Ha ha. And see some of them surprised after learning it's a Hyundai :)... although by now, my guess is almost everybody knows it's a Hyundai Palisade. I see them everywhere, especially the lower trims.

I'm happy to see that I wasn't the only one who had this problem! I tried moving the seat around but like others said, the only way to make things work is to drive with the high beams (automatic). One year later and I'm still not used to it. In fact, it's the #1 reason why I've thought about trading it back in. LOL it's these little things that sometimes matter :)

The headlights on the 2021 Palisade are very dangerous at night! You have a black blob on the road at all times and can not see in the oncoming lane!
Very Dangerous and a law suit waiting to happen.
Sad Hyundai knows about this issue and has not changed their lighting!
Note these pictures do not do justice it is worse in person!
I am having the same issue. Just got a 2021 and there is the craziest shadow and I cant see good at all. It bounces up and down. And only lights up low and not very far. It throws me off and worries me.

Since it's dark earlier, we have started noticing the exact same issue! One morning when we had to leave at 6:15 and it was almost impossible to see our road because the shadow over the headlights was so low. It's not as noticable if there is over head street lighting on the main roads. It is very worrisome to not be able to see the whole road, so we have cut back driving after dusk to almost nothing unless absolutely necessary. The dealers act like they don't know what we're talking about when we've tried to get them adjusted, which is apparently doable according to their web pages. We are very frustrated with this feature that is apparently a newer addition to keep oncoming traffice from being blinded by the new super bright headlights (which we don't have).

Is this what everyone is complaining about? It's a safety feature to not blind oncoming traffic.. If you have problems with this you're going to lose your mind when adaptive headlights become standard....

Hi @Trkdrvremt ,

What is the source for that screenshot you shared saying the V-shaped dark spot is designed to prevent blinding oncoming drivers?

I understand the thinking behind the statement. I just want to know whether the source is from Hyundai or not so I can speak with confidence to my relative who has this same complaint.

Thanks,

Agree that it is incredibly DANGEROUS. Nigh time driving in rural areas can have very few oncoming cars and lots of animals. It should at least be a function that you can turn off. Very concerning!!!
