Looking at ordering the Curt hitch (have it sitting in my cart) and wondering what harness everyone ordered with their hitch?

here is where i wired my brake controller, it was a bit of a bitch but it works well and it's out of sight and accessible for when I need it.

What is the model number for the Curt hitch? 13195?

Thanks,
Curt CLASS 3 TRAILER HITCH WITH 2" RECEIVER #13427

Curt wiring harness #56420 it connects directly to the factory harness. It's only 4 pin but the Pali isn't designed to go to 7 pin. But if you want a factory install you need this

If you want to tow to the Palisades maximum 5000lb limit you will need a trailer with brakes. And trailers with electric brakes need a seven pin harness. Had one installed on mine. No big deal but very necessary.

For anyone reading this and looking to buy a the Palisade, the 2021 model will come pre-wired for 7 pins. The 2020 model year only had 4-pin pre-wiring.

2021 Palisade comes prewired for 7 pin, you still need the extra adapter as it only runs a power wire along with the 4 pin wiring
to the panel in the back

You can install a brake controller a lot cheaper than Hyundai would charge. Maybe they will start offering a brake controller installed by dealerships

i just got the curt and the tekonsha from etrailers, I'll worry about the 7 pi controller later
The tekonsha is the break controller which controls the other 2 pins on the 7 pin connector. You need to do them all together

w8wut?

The Tekonsha unit I got was on sale for $99.00 when I got everything else

The USDM Hyundai unit MSRPs at $400 and is street priced at around $215-$270 (my dealership lists it at $246 plus tax).

Meaning $99 < $400

I didn't even consider the Curt unit because a simple search shows a LOT of people have trouble with ANYTHING electronic from Curt and my own brother has had issues with Curt electronics and he is one of those scoobie/curt fanboys.

So, yeah, dunno what you're missing
