Curt CLASS 3 TRAILER HITCH WITH 2" RECEIVER #13427
Curt wiring harness #56420 it connects directly to the factory harness. It's only 4 pin but the Pali isn't designed to go to 7 pin. But if you want a factory install you need this

If you want to tow to the Palisades maximum 5000lb limit you will need a trailer with brakes. And trailers with electric brakes need a seven pin harness. Had one installed on mine. No big deal but very necessary.

Yes, I know. Its wired for 7pin, not factory setup

i just got the curt and the tekonsha from etrailers, I'll worry about the 7 pi controller later

The tekonsha is the break controller which controls the other 2 pins on the 7 pin connector. You need to do them all together

tekonsha makes numerous items, one is the replacement for the hyundai harness, hence, Ill worry about the 7 pin conversion later

Not sure why you would spend double the price for the exact same thing that the manufacture would sell you. My sante fe, just got a recall on that harness from curt. It said it right in the recall. kinda messed up.

The Tekonsha unit I got was on sale for $99.00 when I got everything else
The USDM Hyundai unit MSRPs at $400 and is street priced at around $215-$270 (my dealership lists it at $246 plus tax).
Meaning $99 < $400
I didn't even consider the Curt unit because a simple search shows a LOT of people have trouble with ANYTHING electronic from Curt and my own brother has had issues with Curt electronics and he is one of those scoobie/curt fanboys.
So, yeah, dunno what you're missing
