Map Update 14.5 Why Upgrade?

The update appears to be map updates only with no new features. I wouldn't pay $25 for it.

I am a Mac user as well and was able to use someones PC to download it. I wonder if the USB drives are active on the local library computer?

Good Morning-

I'm looking through the features guide for v14.5. Being a MacOS user, I cannot download it and have to purchase it. Are there really any new features?

Maybe I missed something?

John
Go to update.Hyundai.com, it has a Mac downloader. It never went live earlier this year when 14.0 was out, but is working now.

I got everything on my USB drive and am sitting in the car doing the update right now.

The new site is having some update pains. The Mac version of the updater gets this response from MacOS "“Navigation Updater.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software."

I'll go downstairs and try it on a PC later.

You may need to go into System Preferences > Security and Privacy to enable it to open since it doesn't appear to be signed. But I did it and my computer hasn't started on fire (yet). 😊

I seriously don't think it's worth it if you're already on 14.0, unless you live in an area that sees significant development and infrastructure changes. There are literally no changes other than the maps.

I went through the hassle since my fiancé's Palisade had not been updated to 14.0 yet. So it didn't have all of the extras that that update delivered.

That is with the Mac version. It downloads the MavigationUpdaterSetup.dmg which is the correct format and runs fine. The updater tries to use the "Navigation Updater.pkg" which is not an acceptable Mac format.

That was exactly the issue, thank you! I had convinced myself that it was a file format issue and didn't look further.

I'm soon going to take the Palisade on a six week road trip so I think that I'll do the update,
