We just got our Limited Palisade BLACK on BLACK.
Im wondering how the steering wheel and heated seats will work with remote start on the key fob.

Come winter time, if i do a remote start via the key fob will the heated steering wheel and heated seats come on if the temperature is to a certain degree of coldness?

Im asking since with my jeep the heated steering wheel and seats comes on if the temperature is below 30 deg.

Thanks in advance

Heated Steering wheel and heated seats do not get activated during any type of remote start unfortunately. Just have the heat on HI and that should do the trick.

I doubt it. I don't have the heated steering wheel but I tested my heated seats. I started the car, turned on the heated seat and turned the car off. after a minute I started the car remotely and the heated seats were off.

would have hoped it would have started the way you left it....makes sense. Maybe they could fix it with a software update....if they listen in this forum and enough of us ask for it

Make sure you have the setting enabled to automatically turn on the heated wheel and heated/ventilated seats when appropriate. Then, theoretically, it should do it if you have your climate control set to auto. I haven’t been able to verify myself because our Palisade isn’t my own daily driver.

Worst case, they’ll kick on when you get in and start the car. If the rest of the car is warm, it doesn’t take long for the seats and wheel.

SOLID theory. i'll do just that and experiment.

As far as I’ve found it’s only the climate control and no seat or steering wheel activation.

If you use the MyHunda app you can select summer, winter, or your custom preset. You have options on how long the engine runs, what the temperature should be, Front defroster and heated features (Rear defroster, side mirrors, and steering wheel if equipped.

Well it's not that far off from Jeep. Below are the yearly price (the cheapest way is to pre-pay for 3 years). Not shown below is the monthly payment option, which is $9.90 per package, so $30 month if you want all 3 packages. It's cheaper if you pay per year(s) instead of months. It should also be noted that only the Connected Care package is required. The other 2 are optional, but do require the Connected Care package.

thanks. definitely way better than what Chrysler wants. We will see how it goes. Our Palisade was just promoted from Outside parking (my spot) to the garage (wife's spot) so we may not need it after all...lol

Well there are other reasons to have Blue Link. Server-based routing for the navigation, Internet-based weather... etc.
