Have Had my Limited Palisade a year now. Recently when I press the voice recognition button my screen displays a message saying “Preparing Voice Recognition.... Please wait.” Then the message disappears. The voice recognition does not turn on. I push the reset button but the problem persists. Any thoughts?

One thing you could try is update the software. You may have already done that, in which case, I'd do it again. You may also want to do the General Update, which takes 2 to 3 hours, instead of the Quick Update, which takes 30 minutes. You can try the quick one first to see if it works, but if it doesn't, I'd try the General update. The reasoning here is that it would update every part of the software (even if it's already up-to-date), which may fix whatever is currently broken in your system. If that doesn't solve it, you'll probably need to take it to the dealer.

The general update is the best bet. I had a similar issue on a past car with a quick update.

Sorry guys. I forgot to update. I reinstalled the software update. It’s been working flawlessly since. Thanks for the suggestions. Much appreciated.

I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question but how do I initiate a General or Quick update?
Thanks

Setup -> General -> SW Update (if I remember correctly).

I was experiencing the same issue with the same error message for the last 2 weeks. In fact, today pressing the voice recognition button did absolutely nothing.

Although there have been 2 software updates since I last updated in May, I was able to find the exact same upgrade package USB key that I used before and I re-upgraded my system. Although I did the quick update previously, this time it didn't ask me to choose between quick/full.

The issue was fixed after the upgrade. Thanks for the suggestion. So this is confirmation that re-updating the system with the same FW version can resolve this issue.

I tried to do the software update and the message I got was please check the device needing the update and try again

I have been trying to get a software update for about a week now and when I call MapnSoft at 1 888 757 0010 they confirm that it is still down......they hoped it "might" be up by the weekend.

Last thing I knew the latest update will start again on dec.10,2021
