iPhone 12 stopped working with carplay

My husband and I both have iPhone 12’s. Both phones work with his 2016 GMC truck. But both of our phones have stopped working in the Palisade. We presume it possibly has something to do with the latest iPhone 12 update? Because both phones worked prior to the update. We have changed cables, reset CarPlay on our phones, powered them off.....not sure what else to do. Anyone else having this issue??

I have the iPhone 12 pro with the latest software update and its working perfectly.

Reset the phone network.

settings —> general —> reset —> reset network. This will wipe all of the USB, Bluetooth, wi-if settings and clear out the cache for each.


Known issue with iOS14 and some vehicles with carplay.. I have 3 vehicles with CP and 2 of the 3 had this issue, resetting the network cleared it up.

we just got the palisade SEL premium package. why our antenna is a mat and not a shark fin? Can we change?

This thread is about the iPhone 12. You should make a separate one for your question.

The Premium package includes navigation, so you should have the shark fin antenna. Are you sure you got the premium package? Or did you just get the convenience one?
