I can't seem to find anything for the 8" screen on the SE. Anyone know of any options for the poorer Palisade owners? lol

Let us know how you like it. How is the touch response? I have one on the way.

Did this also come with the covers for the HVAC controls?

In response to saxman242. No, it only comes with the one piece to cover the infotainment screen. Also, the infotainment screen is very responsive to the touch with it attached.

Agreed. Touch response is the same as before. Only one screen in the package. So far I'm glad I put it on.

Cut to fit the HVAC? Just a thought.

I don't think so, because if I'm not mistaken it is a thin piece of glass. This would make it very difficult to cut and place in that small space. This is just my humble opinion and could be wrong.

There was a thread either here or on one of the other palisade forums where someone mentioned getting one of these kits with small pieces cut for the front and rear hvac and the mode select dial. I haven't seen any advertised as having everything, so hard to say which one comes with them and which ones don't.

That would be a great kit, but I haven't see one yet. I will be on the lookout, if I see one I will post a link.

Much appreciated. I bought one of the generic kits off ebay an hour or two ago, so when it arrives, I'll post up if it came with the other ones.

How is the Ruiya protective film attached/adhered? If need be, could you remove the film after attaching it without the worry of damaging the screen?

It is a glass screen protector like what goes on an iPad. You can remove it without damaging the screen. Just lift a corner and peal it up then clean any residue from the screen.

The kit I ordered off ebay showed up today and did come with covers for the front and rear HVAC and drive mode selector:

Excellent! Please keep us posted as to how you like them!

Did it state that the HVAC,etc. covers would be included as well? Thanks!

I have an SEL with the 8" touch screen. I used this one from Amazon for $10.29.

I did mess it up by using the suction cup but I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement. The suction cup is used to hold the protector in position but I think I was too close to the corner and had it stuck on too hard. Ended up with a section of the top corner that just wouldn't seal. I used the dust remover stickers to hold the protector in position on the second one. Worked much better. No issues with touch controls.

For the HVAC display, I spent a whopping $.94 for a universal screen protector at Wal-Mart. It says up to 5.5" phones but the actual measurement is a tad over 6". It has a grid on one side to allow for straight trimming. Cuts easily with scissors. I noticed the edges didn't want to seal at first because of the warping caused by the scissors. It relaxed after a day and is sealed all around.

Has anyone recently purchased one for the 10" screen that includes the hvac screen? If so, please provide link as every listing only states a single sheet for the 1 screen.
