Anyone like me wishing the ebrake button be easily accessible by the "P" Parking button instead of it being hidden low behind the steering wheel ?

Meh. I've had cars with it in both places. Both places work fine.

It’s not the greatest spot. I wish it just had a regular shifter. The buttons haven’t grown on me and I find they’re a bit finicky.

One must very carefull when going from reverse to drive or vice versa as it is as quick to respond as a shifter and if the brake pedal is not depressed enough it won't change.

personally don't care, never touch it. auto-hold always engaged so it always auto sets and releases when the car is put in gear. same with my G80, never touched that button in 3 years.

how do you get auto hold to always be engaged?

That's a great idea. Id like to keep auto hold on all the time.
Do the instructions tell how one can access the console to install the module?

Funny story-- I live in South Florida (primarily flat) but have a habit of ALWAYS engaging the park brake. As you know, the car will automatically engage if it senses it is needed (my driveway has a very slight incline, and it auto engages when I shift into P). Took me a few days to find the small, hidden electronic park brake. I kept thinking, did they really make this car with automatic park brake only? Definitely a terrible spot!

No. But the console is held in with clips. You just need a plastic trim removal tool $5 at any auto parts store.

if you want a video of the install I can make one over the weekend

Thanks for the reply. I'd appreciate a video for opening the console. You make it sound simple.
