E5CBAD9D-B9C7-43F5-91F6-4FFA0A567F34.webp Just bought my 2021 Hyundai palisade back in October and already having lots of paint issues. It looks like every time I go up or down a hill it’s putting pressure on the glass that’s rubbing against the framing causing the paint to chip off. Everyone please take a look at yours and make sure you’re not having the same issue.

Maybe you should try putting up pictures of the entire area.
I don't even find an area that looks like that on my Palisade.

Yeah man; I have no freaking idea where the heck that can be. Maybe you took a picture of the wrong vehicle. Ha ha.

Makes me wonder...was that vehicle worked on after
I don’t think so I went and got it ceramic coated last week and that’s when they noticed it. Can’t wash it for two weeks until the ceramic hardens that’s why it’s Dusty.

Doesn't look like a Palisade to me. But could be
How about a bigger view of the vehicle
What trim is that?
Looks like it has had body work or is that just a reflection?

Lol 😂 Calligraphy 2021 palisade. This form seems like no one even owns a palisade Because no one knows what it looks like

I'd check with dealership, some one did work on it, maybe before you purchased it

How do you know someone did work on it? I just pay for a ceramic coating on it a week ago. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking it had work.

Just look at your pictures, then go by any dealership and look at other Palisades in that area.
Fit and finish suck

I know what you’re talking about that is just dust because it was ceramic coated and I can’t clean it for two weeks afterwards. Everything looks good on it besides that one area I showed you that the paint is Coming off

That looks weird, but nasty. I’d definitely swing by the dealership and show them.

I think he's talking about the black part that is at the end of the rear glass, and 'wraps' the tailgate. But that part does NOT move, so I'm suspecting the shop had something to do with that. The right one has a minimal gap where the tailgate ends, and the left one seems to be barely touching the paint, but again, since the part doesn't move, there's no paint damage at all.

Yes that part. My moves a lot very and wobbly. Hyundai Send in a report so still waiting to hear back.

It does occasionally happen that a vehicle is damaged during transportation and the dealer or distributor has to do some body work on it. It happened on a car I bought one time that was made in Japan, and I was the one who noticed the damage, and I took it back to the dealer days after purchase and they repaired it. Also, on my Hyundai Genesis, the tow hook cover was damaged or missing and had to be replaced and repainted by the Hyundai distributor, per the online vehicle VIN check I did.
