Has anyone had any luck in finding out about the heated seats not getting warm? We have the SEL and the seats at best get slightly warm? I’m very frustrated, had to leave it with them overnight to see if Hyundai will offer a fix. Service manager told me when comparing ours to another they were heating the same but on a limited model the seats were much warmer. He said it could be the way it was designed?! I don’t understand how if the temperature is registering lower than what the manual states.

I would go around to as many dealers as necessary to test the seats on several SEL's. The higher trim levels have different seats and the heating elements are apparently different than the SEL. If all the SEL seats are the same as yours, then there is nothing that a dealer can do (there is no "repair" available). If you are still not satisfied, contact Hyundai Motor America and open a case. They may not be able to fix it either, but you can ask for some compensation for the poor design (but I would not hold your breath about getting anything).

You could also contact the FTC and file a complaint about false or misleading advertising by Hyundai Motor America.

Keep in mind that Hyundai dealers are not owned by Hyundai Motor America, and dealers can't change the design of the automobiles.

If they're getting warm, I'm afraid that's the way they are. If something was wrong, they wouldn't get warm at all. I haven't tried out mine yet, but the ventilation is the best I've had on any car, including several with cooled seats (with a TED system). For what I'm reading, heating should be fine on my Calligraphy, but we'll see.

Yes Calligraphy No issues just the Sel model. I had a Santa Fe, Genesis, and Sonata before the Palisade and the heat warmers were amazing. It’s pretty upsetting that there is a huge difference between the heating in the Palisades models 😖

Which packages do you have on the SEL?
Do you have the cloth seats?
I don't think the SE with cloth seats has heated seats at all
The SEL does have heated seats but May have only one setting unless you have leather seats

I have Sel with leather heated seats in the front and second row. It has a high, medium, and low setting but honestly the high setting is warm at best.

my 2020 palisade i turn the seat warmer and it turn itself off with in 30 seconds.?

MLRamirez - I recently bought my wife a new palisade and immediately (minutes after driving off lot) we noticed that the seats barely got warm. We set up a service appt and got the car back yesterday. The service manager tried to feed me the same bull.... that he gave you. He said our seats now heat up to 90-95 degrees (before the were only reaching 75) but the temp is not constant. The specifications from Hyundai is 113 degrees. I have 2 other vehicle currently with heated seats and have owned a total of 5 vehicles now with heated seats and they have all heated up to temps over 110 degrees. I am buying a heat gun today so I can verify the repair and so far what we felt on the way home is not satifactory. The heated seat is very important to my wife because she has a bad back and uses them all the time even in the summer. Good luck with your repair.

We just bought a used 2020 SEL from a Toyota dealer (traded our 2017 Highlander) and the front seat heat is one of the things it's going in to have repaired. Now that I'm researching this, it's looking like we bought into a known issue. If true, this sucks.

(They also used a heavy fragrance when they detailed the car, so hopefully it's not the odor issue they covered up. 🤬)
