After 1000 on my new palisade the blind side monitoring system quit working
Got a quick message on right side of screen to check blind side monitoring system plus a red small triangle with a red circle with the number 1

Yep, see thread further down below. Seems to be an issue popping in some Palisades all of a sudden. Mine is with the dealer now. Will see what they say but I suspect they will just reset it.

They said the other dealership in town had a few of these as well. Reset the system and said to let them know if it comes back on. Said it takes about 60 miles before it calibrated itself again. Said that’s what the other dealership did and nobody has been back. Driven about 60 miles since and so far so good. Let’s hope it stays.

mine said they had to order a part and that the part is back ordered. Probably won't get it till Jan

my dealer said mine needed a part that is back ordered and will not be available to Jan

hmmmm, I'm no enginerd, but what would there be to calibrate? the purpose of the system is very specific and the range is finite, so any calibration would seemingly need to be static if such a thing occurred. we ARE talking about the light in the window/HUD/dash alert, not the video right?

Not a clue about calibration, was just saying what the tech told me.

As for what if affects, it basically turns off the entire blind side monitoring system. So you don’t see it in the HUD or on the side mirrors at least in my experience. Until you turn off the car and back on again. So far, still working fine. Guess we will see.

hmm, i wasnt sure if it was the camera or the blinky beep beeps. in any other product one might say its a firmware thing, but I will be interested to see if this goes anywhere, maybe it is a one time aberation

Mine started failing at 1200. Would reset when I turned off the engine. At the dealer right now. Will post what they did when I get it back.
