I have always been blessed to drive a form of luxury vehicle in the past 10 years so I took a leap of faith to try out a new brand. I have been thoroughly impressed with my 12+ hours drive from North Carolina to Texas road trip and became intimate with all the nuances this SUV provides.

Past vehicles not to show boat just to show comparisons of what I have been blessed in the past to drive.

2018 BMW GranCoupe
2015 BMW 3 Series
2019 Acura MDX A-Spec
2012 Acura ILX
2014 Escalade ESV
2011 Escalade ESV
2011 Lincoln MKS
2011 Shelby Super Snake

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Palisade SUV! That IS an impressive list of vehicles you've had there. How does the Palisade compare to the Escalade ESV? I know the ESV is a good bit longer, and taller - but how's everything else?

The ESV was a very nice luxury vehicle and even compared to it's counter partner the Denali it was more refined inside. Compared to the Palisade at this point in time even though I was not able to "play" with all the features the Palisade offers it has surpassed my expectations. The folding mirrors as discussed here already is disappointing and a missed option that seems ridiculous to not include. Other than that it has everything and anything you could ask for. From the infotainment system that just works and easy to use to the thought out process of hangers in the back lid to keeping it open for storage. There was a bit more wind noise on the doors than the Escalade, but nothing unbearable like most American cars. The speed is not too bad either it would be foolish to compare that to the Escalade or other v6-v8 naturally aspirated or Turbo powered vehicles I have had, but compared to the Acura it is so much better in response. The burlwood interiors that the Cadillac offered were great, but if you didn't take preventative measures and place 3M over it they are the first thing to get scratched. In closing the Palisade Limited offers heated and cooled seats to the passenger's this is very hard to find on any SUV especially under 50K.

Thank you for the comparison. It's really interesting to see Hyundai in this segment - and I wonder if they'll go even bigger at one point or another. But, this is their first shot at a large SUV - and they did a great job. I'm glad you found us! :)

I am pretty sure we can count on a Genesis version of the Palisade and it will target Lincoln Aviator to beat among others. Maybe not bigger but fancier...lol

It's just a mater of time, I give it less than 24 months. It would be illogical for them not to considering the hole in that brands line up and the jaw dropping popularity of the Palisade
