I swapped out the lic. Plate bulbs for leds, but was stumped on how to get the reverse bulbs out. Anyone tried this yet?

The service manual has this to say about replacing them, according to a member of another forum:
  1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
  2. Using a flat-tip screwdriver or remover and remove the rear combination lamp cover.
  3. Remove the rear combination lamp and separate the connector.
  4. Loosen the rear bumper mounting clips.
  5. Loosen the mounting screws and retainer on the side of rear bumper, detach the side part of rear bumper. (Be careful not to damage the tabs on the side part of front bumper.)
  6. Loosen the rear bumper mounting bolts, Left Hand and Right-hand side.
  7. Loosen the mounting clips and remove the rear bumper cover.
  8. Press the lock pin and separate the BSD Connector.
  9. Press the lock pin and separate the rear bumper main connector.
  10. Remove the back up lamp after loosening mounting screws.
  11. Install the replacement back up lamp.
  12. Connect the back up lamp connector.
  13. Re-install the rear bumper cover.
  14. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

But here is the way that one You-Tuber did it:

Assume at least part of the install is so that the camera works better at night. If the case, did LEDs improve the camera visibility, and if so, what temperature LED did you use? Thanks

6500k color

I used a link off a Kia telluride forum to initially find these. They work as advertised

They are a nice bright white. Honestly haven’t backed up at night to know if any improvement, but they look much better when I see my wife backing up driveway.

I replaced my bulbs and they definitely help with the backup camera. I can see much better now at night.

Thank you for this. Swapped out my license plate and reverse bulbs for LED and it looks great! Took 20 mins total for all of them

That is the next thing I need to do. The stock reverse bulbs are so dull.

I think there is an error above in the Amazon link posted by two people. Those are the bulbs used for the license plate lights. The reverse ones are different.

Here are the bulbs I used:
Reverse: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075K4DPFY
License Plate: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNH8XZK
Those are exactly the bulbs I used for mine! Sometimes it is difficult to see the difference in brightness, but if you check out the ground behind my Pali in the attached picture, you can see that it lights it up pretty well (the license plate bulbs cast light onto the ground as well). My view when in reverse from the camera has improved dramatically.
