NEW YORK, April 6, 2022 – Hyundai today provided teaser images of its significantly enhanced 2023 Palisade SUV before its global debut at the New York International Auto Show on April 13 at 9:45 a.m. EDT. The reveal of the new 2023 Palisade can be seen on www.hyundaiusa.com and Hyundai’s YouTube channel on April 13.

The design of the 2023 Palisade conveys dignified refinement with clear differentiation worthy of a flagship SUV. A wider cascading grille form outlines rugged parametric shield elements for a premium appearance. The new forward lighting signature features vertically-connected LED composite lights that frame the grille creating a sharp-edged, technical appeal. New, multi-spoke alloy wheels fill the wheel openings for a solid, premium appearance.

I like what I'm seeing so far... I understand not everyone will.

wheels look like they're coming back closer to the 2020 limited ones...much more upscale - remind me of the Navigator wheels.

'Dignified refinement'? What the f*** is that? Ha ha. Hyundai needs a proper translator; geez. Anyway, I personally don't like what Hyundai did; looks too 'RoboCop' now, just like the Santa Fe and now Tucson (which is okay on those models, I guess). The current version looks more elegant, as it should IMO. And hope that ugly plate holder was tacked on (like the current version), and not part of the new grille, as it looks awful (hard to tell from that picture). And although I'm for sure in the minority here, I actually like the current Calligraphy wheels better too (ha ha), although they go better with the new RoboCop look, and the new ones with the more elegant styling of the current one. The new steering wheel is awful too IMO (and even less acceptable on a Genesis). But now having power folding mirrors is really nice. Not sure I like the reconfigured dash better, with less physical buttons, but it's not that bad, so I wouldn't mind that change. Let's hope Hyundai came up with better color combinations for the light leather, as blue, black, beige, silver, and fake zebra wood just didn't do it for me. Ha ha. One more day of wait :).

I like the RoboCop look! :p I think it's going to bring an increase in sales for Hyundai. I remember liking Lexus' predator grille and also like BMW's new big grille design - and while the internet went nuts with negativity, both brands increased sales. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A lot of thought goes into these designs and they're intention is to increase sales. I'm almost certain we will not see a reduction is sales with these new designs... In fact, I bet we see a reduction in Telluride sales as people flock to the Palisade.

I thought Hyundai deleted the signature headlamps, but they didn't. The new design is less elegant, but not bad. The grille design is more 'in your face' than before, even though it's about the same size. But in line with the times. By the way, the new LX Lexus grille is absolutely awful; by far the worst. And the best (or least bad) is the BMW one, IMO. The new Pali is in-between. And I agree sales are not going to be affected, since it's not ugly; just different. But right now it's not the moment to find out, as ALL vehicles are in short supply. The test will come when things stabilize in a year or so. Hey, any idea of the new MSRP for Calligraphy? No word on Hyundai's website. My 2021 FWD Calligraphy MSRP with $1,185 destination was $47,385, and with the few factory options it came with, $47,865 (which is what I paid).
