I own a Palisade 2020 Limited and have not done any downloads. Mainly due to the radio tubes look. I use Apple Play. Other than navigation is there truly any reason to do an update?

Nav updates doesn't just mean maps. They've added features over the years, such as different color schemes, red light cameras, server-based routing, UI updates, etc. If you've never updated your 2020, you probably don't have any of that.
