Hyundai executives have been watching this community for years. They've also made improvements to their vehicles based upon what they've read here. They are listening to you.

This discussion will serve as a quick and easy way for Hyundai executives to gauge interest and help make decisions moving forward.

As a Palisade driver, you should state exactly what you'd like to see enhanced, added, and/or omitted from your Hyundai Palisade.

Any posts that don't stick to the subject matter will be moved elsewhere.

In models with dual sunroofs - add rear sunshade control for the middle row passengers.
The massaging seat that is on the driver's side on the higher trims - add it to the passenger seat as well.
A bit more sound deadening in the rear. It's not horrible - but slightly noticeable... and when at highway speed the low rumble turns into a deep-throated, yet muted roar.

I'm a brand new owner as of 2 days ago - so I am still IDing things :)

wireless carplay
put the wireless charging pad in a separate slot so it doesn't impact use/storage of the storage console
provide separate cup holder locations to allow closing off of the sliding storage console with cups in place
panoramic sunroof
and of course, folding mirrors

There are some in the doors.

panoramic sunroof

Calligraphy and (I think?) Limited has this. Unless you mean the Genesis-style panoroof - which will creak and make noise over time. You don't want this... trust me. It is a constant complaint on the Genny forums across almost all models & dates back to 2015. The dual panel in the upper Palisade trims is honestly a much better solution.

the doors are for like a bottle or thermos, and not as easily reachable as the cup holders for coffee mugs like in the console.

and no, neither the caligrahy or limited have a panoramic sunroof. I had this in my lincoln for years, just got it in my wife's 2024 Tuscon so not sure why the Palisade can't have it - world of difference instead of the two small sunroofs..

My 24 Calligraphy has 2 large sunroofs. Maybe they are not quite panoroof in size - but certainly not small. And after the issues everyone including me has had with panoroofs on our Genesis cars going all the way back to 2015 - I wouldn't want the same issue on my new Pali.

Ok - I found an item... and I have to say it is rather annoying :/

Radar, traffic, gas prices
In the 2015 Genesis it came in over XM Data service. Along with stock ticker, sports scores, movies times, weather forecast and some other stuff.
In the 2021 Highlander it came in over HD Radio Data - even when you were using another source - such as XM or USB.

After playing with it in the Palisade and being thoroughly confused - and then doing research on here and elsewhere - it seems the following is the case in the Palisade:

Only weather forecast (and nothing else) comes in over Bluelink
You do NOT Have XM Data at all
Gas prices, radar and traffic come in over HD Radio Data but ONLY if you are tuned into and listening to an HD station that carries those services. If you are using any other source (or non-data station) - you don't get that service.

Seriously - what kind of a mess is this?

Yeah, I am a bit spoiled, I guess - but I have been a constant XM (or music jukebox on the genny) user since 2015. I don't remember the last time I listened to OTA radio. I was a bit annoyed with the Highlander not having it - but it was fine because of the HD Radio Data and not needing to be actively tuned in. In the case of the Palisade - almost every other vehicle across all 3 Hyundai brands has an XM Data option - why the hell doesn't the Pali? I just assumed (yes - I'm an ass) the Pali would have it. And - if you are going to send weather forecast over BlueLink then why not also send the other important services as well - especially traffic and gas???

This is all just going to push me into using Android Auto more - which is a pain because it can only run 1 app at a time, and not all of them project, either.

First world problems. But cmon - the G80 had this figured out 10 years ago.

I don't think you have to be tuned to an HD radio to get the data, actually. Easily checked by tuning to a radio without HD to see if you're still getting the data.

Also, they do use Bluelink to route you around traffic (if you use the built-in nav), but the static traffic display that you can pull up is from HD radio data

I've got 4 HD stations programmed into the "favorites" - the same as I had on the Highlander - which populated the services just fine. Even after driving around the city for an hour - I get nothing for traffic, radar and gas. I am using XM during that time however - just like in the Highlander. I have found other posts/threads and reddit & such mentions that say you need to be listening to an HD station that is transmitting the data.

If there is another way to do this I am all ears. :)

My main complaint is how soft the windshield is. It pits very easy and makes the Palisade Calligraphy feel a little cheap. No matter what you do the glass always looks dirty. Then of course power mirrors would be nice. The interface is a little quirky but I think that is an IT failure.

Things I was expecting when I bought the Limited version: folding mirrors, automatic doors lock when you leave the car, better sound quality - harman is not that premium as I expected and has no options to fine-tune equalization. Ambient lighting maximum brightness is not enough for my taste. Other than that we really like the car. It has all bells and whistles.

I definitely want Hyundai to improve the cabin noise insulation, especially at higher speeds. The wind noise can be annoying. Second thing is the navigation system, sometimes it loses its way. Also, a bigger variety of interior color options would be a great addition.

Overall, Palisade is awesome, but a few tweaks, like more USB ports in the back, wouldn’t hurt!:)

No wind noise on my 24 model. How many more ports behind the front row do you need? There are already 4.

I think one of the key things Hyundai should improve is the multimedia system sometimes it’s slow and not very intuitive. Also more customization options for the interior would be awesome so everyone can have their favorite settings.I believe these changes would definitely attract more customers.Let me know what you think ! :)
