Here is a TFLcar Video from the U.S. media event. White Limited AWD with Beige interior.


No driving impressions, but you get a good look at the trim level.

One thing stands out... the AWD modes are just like the U.S. Telluride. They dropped the Sand and Mud modes but put in a Lock button.

Long video (over one hour) with lots of information about the Palisade from Hyundai executives.


I really liked the part which confirmed my suspicion that the engine can operate in both Otto and Atkinson cycle modes. They use variable valve timing to greatly delay the closure of the intake valve (Atkinson cycle) when full power is not required, increasing the fuel economy.
 
Did you notice how much rumbling or low frequency noise there was when they were moving. Maybe those 20" tires were to blame.
 
Okay, okay this is Alex on Autos review of the KIA Telluride. BUT he compares it to the Palisade about a zillion times. You get a good flavor of where the two sit in relation to one another.
