Does anybody know if Hyundai plans on a firmware update on the 2020 Palisade to allow text messaging via Bluetooth without using apple car play? I have an iPhone, and I do not like using Apple Car Play to send and receive text messages. If I try and use the text message function via Bluetooth it says "Device not supported," but it will recognize my iPhone to receive and make calls.

Which trim level do you have?

There are some voice recognition features that are only available on the limited and higher spec SEL trims. This sounds like one of them.

I have the Limited version with all the bells and whistles which I can not figure out. I guess I will have to hire a teenager to set it up for me

I remember reading somewhere on one of the forums that you need to make sure your Blue Link subscription is active and working correctly in order to make text messaging work with the built-in functionality. Not sure why Blue Link would have anything to do with that, but that apparently was the issue for that person.

I just found the post I was thinking of. That other poster was getting a message "Additional Setup Required". That's not the same error as the one you're getting, so maybe Blue Link is not your issue.
