As you probably know, the Kia Telluride is selling like crazy. How do you think the Hyundai Palisade will sell in comparison? Is the Telluride THAT good? Or is it just the segment that's so hot? Could the Palisade do even better? I kinda feel like - YES! What do YOU think?

Interesting conversation. As far as pricing goes i think the hyundai palisade will cost a little more. I think hyundais are always alittle more expensive then kias. But it won't be much more because hyundai has genesis. Once those genesis suvs start going on sale, and i hear they're right around the corner, there can't be too much price overlap.

I'm with ya on pricing. But if I'm not mistaken, the Kia Optima actually goes higher in price (and options) than the Hyundai Sonata. It may be the same for a few other vehicles as well... And I THINK Kia may be aiming higher with their non-luxury brand - than Hyundai is with their's - since Hyundai has Genesis... So I wouldn't be completely surprised if we saw the Palisade come in a little less expensive than the Telluride...

I'm sure some Hyundai dealers will do the same thing Kia dealers are doing with the Telluride prices. It's the nature of the business. They all do it with a hot item. I bet the Palisade will sell just like the Telluride. Hyundai has a lot of loyal buyers and they will flock to the big SUV when it's available.

It’s a combination of everything you mention. The value proposition is very hard to beat in that segment and Hyundai and Kia have established a new bar. The Telluride will continue to sell well as it’s close to Tahoe proportions and suits larger families. The Palisade will do well since it’s slightly smaller but may be a bit more maneuverable for city dwellers. I’m torn because I like both and their unique enough to distinguish between the two. However, I’m leaning Palisade due to the slightly smaller size and probably a little bit more maneuverable than the Telluride, plus the digital gauge cluster. I wish it had more traditional headlights, but they’re growing on me. Either choice is a great one and as a consumer, the more options the better.

Palisade will sell equally as well, if not better, than the Telluride.

No questions about it. This is a hot segment and this is by far the best value one can get.
