So it has auto turn on w keys which is nice but I have noticed when I turn it on if my son gets in the back within second it turns off? Is this a safety feature? Dosent this defeat the purpose of being able to turn on w keys?

Safety feature if any other door than the driver door is opened, and even then , you have to get in and close door. It’s only for when approaching the car and getting in solo, or you get in first.
Booo....Also, about the air. Do u have to leave it on for it to run while doing auto turn on?

Yes it will restart with the previous air setting , just leave it in auto if you have it!

Then you do not have the drive guidance package and as such, do not have blue Link connectivity go your palisade.
