Bright Low Beams...

The LEDs are quite bright, but more so, because of their lower placement in the vehicle, they seem to be aimed more horizontal than a lot of vehicle. That can lead to a bit more glare to lower vehicles in particular. Oddly, I got flashed a few times immediately after getting the car but it stopped shortly after.

LEDs are great for the driver and terrible for oncoming traffic. hahahah
especially if the opposing cars are not on a level plane (cresting a hill for example); that's where the LEDs become blinding for the oncoming driver.

A good headlight leveling system can help that. Unfortunately, the palisade doesn't come with auto leveling headlights.
An even better approach is the adaptive laser light designs that some of the German companies have. Unfortunately, current US laws make those illegal in the states.
BMW i8 has the laser lights as an option here in the US. It's a pretty expensive option though at $6300.

Interesting. It sounds like they've approved the laser based illumination system but aren't allowing the adaptive lighting that shapes the beams around oncoming traffic and instead are making them treat it basically like an automatic high beam. "the U.S. version will not have the blue light and they will automatically turn off for incoming cars. " So we're halfway there?
