Yesterday I had a medical appointment which my wife accompanied me to. She was not allowed to come inside because of the China virus situation. I asked her if she had her fob because she would have to go back to the car and wait for me, which she did. Fifteen minutes later I got a message on my iPhone that the car was running with no fob inside. I phoned my wife and she said she was in the car with the engine running which made sense because it was 105 F outside. She assured me that her fob was with her. After all, she did unlock the car, started it and was sitting in it. Fifteen minutes later I got messages sent from the BlueLink app and somewhere else stating that the car had been running for 30 minutes with no fob inside and that I should turn it off. Has anyone else experienced this strange vehicular behavior before?

Not I, but maybe if a car is sitting idle it's a notice that gets sent so you don't burn an entire tank of gas ona car sitting there

Had the same thing yesterday. I ran into a store, expecting to only be in there 5 minutes. It took longer. Meanwhile my wife was sitting in the car, with my FOB on the consule, running AC because it was 92. I got a text and an email.

By the way, is there anyway to set the time about getting a notice that the car is unlocked. Sometimes at home I want to leave the car unlocked because I am loading or unloading stuff. Sometimes that takes awhile. I think I get a notice after 5 or 10 mnutes that a door is unlocked.

You can edit what notifications you get and how you get them on the blue link website

I park my car in teh garage and it's unlocked. i get teh notice every single day. It doesn't bother me, I would rather get it then not and leave my car unlocked someplace other then home.
