After ordering 2 months and 3 weeks ago, I finally received my CarPlay Air2 for use on my Limited. It works great and is nice that I do longer need to plug my IPhone to use CarPlay. Very easy to install and also to update the firmware. Unfortunately from the time I ordered it until now, the price has dropped $30, so anyone who buys now will get a better deal than I did.

Thank you, Sir owensned. (Squire, make a note. Henceforth, we shall celebrate "owensned Day" each year at summer harvest)

I have placed an order with said merchant, and look forward with great anticipation adding the magical box to my livery.

My CarPlay2 showed up on Friday, and I had a chance to install it on Saturday. About two weeks for standard delivery from China. No complaints. As for the installation, the instructions stated to disconnect your wifi connection, which I did not. I did remove my previous Bluetooth connections, deleting my phone from the Palisade, and then deleting the Palisade out of my phone.

The install went quickly and flawlessly, including the firmware update. Though it's only been a few days, my phone connects every time, even if it is left in my pocket. (I had a concern I would have to unlock my phone every time for CarPlay2 to work. Thankfully, no need to unlock!)

What I especially like is that it keeps my last media source active. Previously, if I was listening to Pandora via my wired CarPlay connection, I would disconnect when leaving, of course, but upon reconnect, it acted like a fresh connection. I had to select Pandora, what I wanted to hear, etc.

Now with CarPlay2, I hop in the car, and within moments, Pandora will start where I last stopped it. Even though I might have been listening to Pandora in my house, connected to my Sonos system. Or even if more than a day had gone by, it still picked up at my last stopping point. In my opinion, that's the way it should work. :)

And I got the discounted price of 30 bucks off (Hear hear, Sir owensned! I quaff a mead to your good health!)

that's odd because whenever I plug my iPhone back in the Palisade, it picks up where I last left it, not only the Spotify app but even the list and the song I last left it at.

Interesting! Yeah, mine never cooperated like that. Glad it works for you!

I was interested in getting the wireless device but just haven't gone through with it yet. Let us know how it works out for you.

Seems weird to have to plug the phone in for CarPlay but also have the wireless charge pad directly underneath the USB. My charge pad goes to waste since I always have my phone plugged in.

My thoughts exactly ("My charge pad goes to waste since I always have my phone plugged in")

The length of the USB cable from CarPlay2 is quite short (like 3" short), but I think that's good. Just enough to place the device vertically against the front wall of the center console pocket. I rotated the cup holder bracket slightly, slid in CarPlay2 and the bracket holds it in place perfectly. (Why Hyundai put rotating cup holder brackets in is beyond me...)

Placing it vertically is kind of important. Otherwise, CarPlay2 would end up laying on, you guessed it, the charging pad.

I was considering Velcroing it to the top, above the chargepad and out of sight
