I'm trying to find a product that covers up the surface scratches I have.Every scratch shows as white. Anyone know what will cover/get rid of them?

A) This is one of the reasons I absolutely refuse to buy a black car.
B) Find an auto detailer. They'll fix what can be fixed, and are probably OK with telling you what they used.

It depends how deep the scratches are. You can a scratch removal product and see if you can get them out by hand. If that doesn’t work you’ll need to use an orbital buffer and some polish. Either that or see a detailer, but pain correction can be pricey depending on the amount of work.
