I recently purchased a 2021 rainforest green palisade calligraphy. I’d like recommendations on accessories that are recommended

Exactly what I have (since March), and welcome aboard. I like the OEM all weather mats and roof rails. Carlinkit wireless CarPlay works perfectly 98% of the time. I'm thinking of getting the Shark Racing module that installs inside the console to make the Auto Hold and ISG (auto ignition on/off) settings sticky. Tinted windows, tow hitch.

Thanks! Excited with the palisade! Did you tint all the windows or just the front 2?

I tinted the front two at 35% and the others at 15% (I think), so the resulting look would be identical for all windows (except windshield of course). Didn't go full dark mode.

The factory tint is what percentage? Do you know?

I believe factory tint of all windows behind the first row is 20%. Check with your tint shop, though.

If they all look the same, then the rear side windows have to have a lighter tint film added than the front side windows. That is because the rear side windows come with a darker factory tint.

The lower the VLT (visible light transmission) %, the darker the window appears (if both tint films are same type). So "maybe" you have 35 VLT tint film on the front side, and a 50 VLT on the back side windows.

It's hard to match darkness of a window by the VLT % alone, since different kinds of tint films may be darker than others, even if they have the same VLT rating.

I heard 3M ceramic tint is the way to go? Looking to get close to limo tint in the rear Windows and something like a 25-30% in the driver and front passenger. I am curious if I can add clear film to the front for UV and heat protection. Would it interfere with the heads up display (HUD)?

In terms of being able to block heat energy, ceramic tint film is the way to go. There are several different brands that make quality ceramic tints films. There are also ceramic hybrid films that are not 100% ceramic and get some darkness from dyes or carbon particles in the film.

As far as HUD and ceramic tinting the windshield, I would ask an installer if there was some way to test it with a small patch of film, or maybe they would know the answer right away. Legally, most states ban tint films on windshields, but if you can find a 80 or 90 VLT film, no one is likely to notice it. You can google the tint laws in your state.
