I see that it retained the headlamps, so good move, Hyundai. It definitely looks less elegant outside now, but it's not bad. I prefer the old Calligraphy version in every respect (except the lack of power-folding mirrors), but in no way is the new one a deal-breaker. In front, looks more 'RoboCop', so probably more attractive for guys. The rear is almost the same, but again, the old version looks more elegant and unique. Inside it looks almost the same, so guess only Korea got the redesigned dash (without buttons). What looks definitely cheaper are the black buttons, rather than chrome, when the surrounding chrome (vent trim, etc) remains, so looks cheaper. The steering wheel design is really awful IMO. I wouldn't get another Pali anyway, so happy to keep mine until it's time for something else. And that something else might be a Santa Fe, maybe, as when our old dog passes, we won't need a big SUV anymore... but I still need an SUV to tow my sub-1K-lb single motorcycle trailer with my R1250R HP bike. I don't like 4-bangers, but that's basically the only choice on any smallish SUV, and as long as it's quieter than the Pali inside the cabin, I'd be fine with it. Also want something very close to power to the Pali, so at least a 2.0T engine. Therefore, one size down, like a Santa Fe.
