Brand new owner and just got a message that 500 mile maintenance is due. I can’t find the info anywhere in the books. Anyone help?

You can go to the vehicle settings on the infotainment screen and change that reminder interval. It most certainly shouldn’t be 500 miles. It’s every 7,500 miles as per the manual. Although your oil charges should probably be a little more frequent, particularly the first one.

Thank you! I thought it was odd for 500 miles. I’ll find that

I perform my first oil change in all of my cars at 500 miles. Probably overkill, but for me:

1) Get the conventional oil out as quickly as possible and switch to synthetic
2) Remove any early/accidental debris present in the motor
3) Peace of mind

Like I said, probably overkill. Most modern vehicles will NEVER have an engine failure due to oil/lubricant issues. My dad had a Pontiac GrandAm with the 4 cyclinder (iron duke) motor and drove 125K miles on the original oil and filter. I wouldn't advise that, but dad worked for GM and basically said - "watch this". He made his point.

LOL 500 miles, wow. Recommended is 3500/7500 depending on driving conditions and time passed.

*Hey question the service interval reminder regarding Oil changes, is it adaptive? In my remaining ancient 2005 Honda Odyssey the maintenance minder also had an "oil life" guesstimate it started at 100 percent and counted down in 5 to 10 percent increments based on miles driven and how they were driven if I am not mistaken. I rarely let it get down to the last 5 percent. Usually did the changes in the 10 to 30 percent range based on a trip to a dealer or service station for some other matter.

Also @ Eric for those without driver's package the Service minder settings are in the center 4.5/7 inch center display between Tach and Speedo. Actually almost all the settings are there except AV.

Thanks for adding that. That helps.

Just went to service interval on mine was not checked. And interval was 000 and timeframe. Checking it does not save unless i add in a number of miles which stops at 3 digits cannot get to the 4th and 5th digits and some time frame. Odd going to check manual. Weird.... Also maybe the 500 thing is new car check up? Maybe why I'm limited to 3 digits

Went though manual not much in there except how to set miles and timeframe, no reasoning as to why only able to alter first 3 digits. Was going to reset all user prefs from other but it excludes service interval and language. Guess Ill just mess with it.

OK I have no the greyed out numbers don't mean anything other then minimum setting is 100 miles. So you set the next digit over from right from that to get to 1000s as opposed to 10K 100K. Odd there is no Oil life measurement, just a simple miles and time nag.
