Bought ours back in Jan 2020 and only 2000 miles so far. Was going out west with it until the virus hit. (We live in Florida) Still learning all the limited has to offer. Almost overwhelming! First brand new car we ever owned and we love it. Bought it after retiring. Hope to learn a lot from the forum and contribute when I can.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. I'm glad you found us! :) What did the Palisade replace for you?

Welcome to the forum.
Retired also and this year is a real bummer for travel,
Which we do a lot of.

Thanks for the welcome. We kept what we had. A 2006 Traiblazer extended version. I also have a 1974 MGB, 2001 Corvette, and a 2002 Camaro Z28. I like cars!!
We still plan on touring the western states possibly in April or May.
So far we have not had any problems with the Palisade that some have had except for the funky smell. We bought the Limited in white with beige interior and AWD.

Ours is the same color combination as yours, And we are fortunate in not having a bad smell.
I see car n driver and another outfit have questioned Hyundai on the smell.
Hyundai says they are trying to find the exact cause and my have to replace the headrests
in some Palisades. They don't have enough headrests to do it now until they figure out
which supplier is having the problem
Her is a link on it from cars.com

Just went out for a smell and its not nearly as bad as originally. We bought back in January. We used one of the liquid air fresheners on the vent and that really improved it. We are down here in hot Florida which probably makes it worse. Then I read somewhere in the manual not to do that because it might distort the vent.

We live in Arizona so I don't think heat is the problem. Unless the heated seats start it. All we have had to use is the cooling.
Wonder if it only starts after the seat heating is used and the heat elements cause a reaction with the foam in the seats.
That shouldn't cause the headrest to stink though

We are going to try another air freshener and see what happens.
