Automatic opening on rear hatch

I can't seem to get the rear hatch to open automatically. I've read the manual but have gotten no success. Suggestions??

I can't seem to get the rear hatch to open automatically. I've read the manual but have gotten no success. Suggestions??

a) make sure the feature is enabled in settings.

b) make sure the vehicle is locked and you’ve been away from it for at least 15 seconds.

c) approach the vehicle from behind with the smart key on your person; the car should begin beeping/flashing to let you know it acknowledges you. You have a few beeps to get out of the way if you don’t want the liftgate to open.

Got it! Trick was to lock it twice.
