Just joined this awesome website. Bought my Palisade a few months ago. How many of you have a black palisade? I noticed its very hard to upkeep and the paint/clear coat seems to be low quality.

I have a white limited awd...agree, paint is not the worst but it sure is far from the best.Owned a lot of new vehicles and take pride in ownership ..I close my eyes when detailing my Palisade...and as mentioned..the side mirrors are not the same white color as the rest of the vehicle..

Have you had black vehicles in the past?

Yes I have had Black in the past and I know they are hard to upkeep, but it seems this one gets surface scratches much easier. And I never take it thru a drive thru car wash. I am ver carElul when washing and only use good quality products.

Our SEL is hyper white, but I have been very impressed with the pearl finish. Welcome to the group.

Looking to black-out your Palisade? Black emblems are available right in our very own forum store. With fast shipping and the lowest prices online, you can't go wrong.
I really wanted the hyper white but did not want to wait and I thought the black looked very classy, knowing it was going to be a pain to keep clean. I live in Las Vegas, NV so it’s mostly dust that coats the car.

We had to dealer trade for ours, and it was actually the first white one I had seen. My wife really wanted the white though, and since our dealer was willing to do the trade at no charge to us, we went ahead with it. The first time we saw it, I knew we had made the right choice. More importantly, the wife was happy, and that means I stay happier too. 🙂 We both really like the way the black looks though. If there would have been a black one on the lot, we might not have had them trade for the white. I think you picked a solid color, and imho, nothing looks better than a clean black vehicle.

For daily driver I recommend a glass coat. Durable and a lot less maintenance. I have done 5 vehicles with different glass coats. Miglior is amy favorite so far for gloss. Polish angel for durability and wet look. Liquid armor for easiness. On my 18 colorado I needed to be in a more temperature controlled environment. My mom's garage is not insulated. My house is not done but I can't wait a month or so. A higher consistent tep would hell cure times. Our Palasade is getting the Adams pack next weekend. It will be about a 8hr job. But I like doing it.
