With no signs my check enigine light came on I went to dealership was told can’t even get a diagnostic check for 2 weeks. The service clerk pointed out that i only have 51miles until i reach the 60,000 mile warranty Extended warranty may not cover the service or repairs. Has anyone else had this issue?

Contact Hyundai Motor America and open a ticket explaining that you brought into the dealer with a problem before 60K miles, but they refused to look at it for 2 weeks. Make sure you have a photo of the odometer in case they want you to send it them.

You can also to take it any Hyundai dealer, not just the one where bought it, but make an appointment. In the meantime, make sure your gas cap is securely tightened.

Keep in mind that if you are the original purchaser, the powertrain (including engine) is warrantied for 100K miles or 10 years.

Thanks I checked the gas cap I was on properly. I removed it and inserted again waited a while light is still on. I will contact Hyundai motor in the morning.

Thanks Alan. Spoke with Hyundai got a case number. I tried scheduling a diagnostic check at 3 dealership the wait is over 7 days. I guess all Hyundai service departments are short of technician.
