I’ve had my 2022 palisade essential edition(base) for about 2 months now. It’s already had it’s first oil change at 6,000 km but around 3,000km it’s started making a knocking noise on acceleration when the engine warms up. I haven’t had the time to get it to the dealership yet. Any feedback from anyone experiencing the same situation?

Try using a higher octane gas (mid-grade or premium) to rule out noise caused by detonation (pinging). Also, since the government in the USA (not sure about Canada) has authorized the use of 15% ethanol in the gas to reduce the cost, I would be extremely careful about which gas station and brand that I use.

Also, check your oil level and coolant level (in the overflow tank when the engine is completely cooled down).

Have you done the in car diagnostic to see if any thing shows up. Not sure you have that on base model
like a bad sensor in the anti knock circuits.
Stop at a Auto Zone and ask them to do a scan.
Alan_F may be on to something with the ethanol, But I'd make sure to use top tier gas
some of these gas stations get the crap left over from shipments.
When engine is hot it will pre detonate easy if it has bad gas or bad sensor
