I could not find a white calli with light interior, so I did what any sane car buyer would do....I bought out of state and drove it home. Yes I’m a little nuts but my son loved the adventure and here are my thoughts and questions so far from our 9 hour drive...

1. whoa, it does drive itself! I didn’t realize quite how much until I hit cruise. Must have saved on 50 percent fatigue. ? But can you cruise without the driver steering assist?
2. I need the app to have Apple CarPlay recognize my phone?
3. My kid loves the interior. No siblings but really liked the way way back and the captain chairs.
4. Holy crap the lights are bright. Coming from an sq5, those are bright but these...
5. Tuning button!!!! Way way too far away from my hand. Didn’t find scanning on the column easy as it would jump pass one channel. Have to figure that out.
6. cooling sears help your butt on long road trips.
7. Bass too bassy?

one more question, I didn’t realize I was getting the two hitch I don’t want it on, I can take that off I hope pretty easy?

overall amazing on a long drive. I would not have survived as well without the adaptive cruise and steering.

You may have the extra bass turned on in the radio settings
Welcome to the forum.
The more you look at the manual and learn more about the Palisade
You will realize how little you know about it. So many functions
it is hard to believe.
I figure by the time I learn most of them, my lease will be up

Yea I turned the bass booster off to hear my kid better. Reading now :-)

Hooray for road trips with the kid and for fun new cars.

No app needed for CarPlay, but you do need to authorize it on your phone the first time you plug it into your car.

Did you get a 2021 and if so what trim level? Did you notice much wind noise?

Calligraphy 2021.
Im pretty sensitive to noise and am picky about cars. There is no leak or wind noise that isn’t supposed to be. Though I came from an Audi so those are a little quieter so any noise seems decent for going to a Hyundai after an Audi. Nothing seems out of the ordinary or louder than it should be.

Awesome, congrats on the buy! We happened to buy one while out of town visiting family, and had a 700 mile drive back to SoFlo. Same here, long drives on the highway are effortless.

For the sound- there are two options under system, vehicle, sound. One is surround (Quantum surround or something like that) and the other is a bass booster. You might want to try driving with both de-selected and choose whichever one (or both) you like so the bass isn't overpowering. Of course, you can also turn the base down and tune the Treble / Mids as well.

For the lane keep assist, I believe there is a button (icons look like lines on the road) somewhere to toggle on/off. I can't recall exactly where, but check to the lower left of the steering wheel.

Not sure about Apple CarPlay, but I know for sure Android Auto requires you have the app itself installed. Also- you may need to try a different cable. Some cables, especially non-OEM ones, function poorly for data transfers, which is what CarPlay / A Auto is.

Happy driving!
