Floor mats

Had a minute so I decided to remove the front floor mats...
No luck! Did some cursing and gave up....anyone else been exposed to this frustration?

Yes i have tried to remove and find there is some trick, not sure what it is.

There is a "hook" that anchors the driver, passenger and second row.

The "trick" is start at the end furthest from the seat, roll it up into a reasonably tight roll and when it gets to the clip it rolls straight off it.
