Greetings from NH. We ended our lease a little more than a month early, and are new lessees of the only Sierra Burgundy Limited Palisade in the entire state of NH. (Well, for now, anyway!) The Palisade had to be picked up in Rhode Island.

We are finding the Palisade to be much more comfortable than the Santa Fe, and we liked the Santa Fe. (Limited Ultimate trim package)

It's amazing how much tech has changed in three short years. And it's amazing how many compliments the Palisade gets from strangers!

And if there's ever found a way to DISABLE door auto lock, I will be a very happy man.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Palisade! That's a nice step up from the also nice Santa Fe. :) I'm glad you found us!

I tell you what I was all into getting the Palisade (and probably still will) for the upgrades over the Santa Fe. Kids are out of the house and wife and I would rarely need all the room. I was close to purchasing but I saw the 2021 Santa Fe. I will probably wait now to see how it plays out but it incorporates a lot of what I was looking for in the Palisade. We will see!

Thanks, glad to be here! My wife and I agree, it is a nice step up.

Yeah, the 2021 Santa Fe looks like a mini Palisade on the inside: same push-button shifter, same infotainment system, same terrain/drive mode selector...etc.

Exactly, and that works for me at my point in life.

The dealbreaker for me is 4 cylinders. Even with a turbo. I've heard mention of a "Santa Fe XL" but don't know if that's legit or not. Moot point for me as we love the Palisade.

They haven't revealed the engines for the 2021 Santa Fe yet. But yes, they're likely to be 4 cylinders. I suspect they'll use the new SmartStream engines that are new for 2020 and are in the new Sonata.

The Santa Fe XL was the old regular 3 row Santa Fe (not the two row Santa Fe Sport). The XL was discontinued with the Palisade. But the new Santa Fe is a little larger than the old Santa Fe Sport. Hyundai did this because it was confusing to have the same name (Santa Fe) for two different size vehicles.

The automotive world is moving to 4 cylinder turbos, especially for sedans not designed for towing. The Mercedes Benz E Class is now standard with a 4 cylinder turbo. You can get a 6 cylinder E class with the AMG models.

Yeah, that was the part that has not sold me. I did read that, in Europe at least, they were bringing in a Hybrid. Either way, I will wait to see how this plays out as I have a bit of time.
