Great Deal

don’t waste your time believing them
yah, I totally took the time to forge a lease contract, print it out, photograph it, and post it on a web forum just to mislead people into thinking they can get a better deal.

Yeah, I was happy with my recent lease. It really does boil down to timing and what you qualify for. Dealer discount/1300, military/1000, lease incentive/500 and good ol bonusdrive/500. *shrug* Worked for me.

lease is different. I thought we were debating purchase price

The key is to find a dealer with a lot of inventory listed on their website.

Sooooo I have a dealer who says he can get me a 2020 SEL AWD w/ the Convenience Package & sunroof out the door for 40500. I'm not too concerned about colors etc...what does the forum think? Good deal or no deal? I'd be interested in everyone's opinion....I'm in the NY/NJ area btw.

build it on True Car (which I did for you)

the price is basically msrp less all the usual fees

have you looked through True Car and Car Gurus for nearby inventory?

also, be sure you are getting what you want so there's no buyer's remorse later (you'll see threads of people asking if they can add X or Y package after the fact)

good luck and hope to see you on the forums soon!

Thanks for the reply Raggedy,
I looked at the model you researched but it appears to be a straight SEL with no added features. The Convenience Package comes in at $2200 and the sunroof option at $900 so I felt I wasn't getting the worst deal in the world! But definitely not the best.

I'm looking for a Palisade now. Here's a quote I got for an SEL with an out the door price of $43,043.57 this is thru True-Car. I have another quote for a stripped down SEL(cloth seats, no sat radio) for $39K out the door. Like another poster noted It seems the things you want are in other packages. Any advice on these prices?

Have you looked at the Prices Paid thread on this and other forums (this isn’t the only Palisade forum)? Do a search since that will give you an idea of what others have paid for similarly equipped cars.
I bought an AWD Limited so I only know those prices off the top of my head.

I’ve seen a few posts where owners are unhappy after the purchase because they discovered their trim model didn’t have a feature they wanted or they thought they had, but didn’t. So be very sure of what you want in your Palisade. The entry level model you have looked at won’t have Sirius radio for example. You’re spending hard earned money so just know what you want and what the car has or doesn’t have so there are no regrets later.

Thanks Raggedy1-That' EXACTLY the issue I'm running into, for example I just got off the phone with a dealer who told me to get sirius radio on the SEL I'd have to get certain packages and out the door it would run me $44,500!!! which is ridiculous. Anyway what did your limited run you?

If I could gift you my Sirius I would! Lol. I have never subscribed fo XMAS/Sirius in my life, even at their discounted offers. I guess if I listened to Howard Stern I’d have to though.

Limited models don’t get discounted as much as the other trims. Too bad that in this case “Limited” truly means limited for this model year. I always found it funny when car makers label their trim Limited when we know they aren’t actually limited! Haha
I ended up finding a dealer 7 1/2 hours away offering it to me for 990 under msrp back in January but the car didn’t arrive until first week of March. Any closer dealers were asking msrp or higher. At the time the other trim levels, even the fwd Limited, were more widely available and at better prices.

Good luck!
