Anyone have experience in removing the black plastic pieces around the mirror to get to the wiring? I know how to hardwire. Just need to know a safe way to remove the plastic pieces around the mirror w/o breaking.

Middle piece pops right off. That's how I installed mine.

Which direction do you push or pull? Once that’s removed is it necessary to remove the other 2 pieces?

It just pops out. I think I pulled from the top and bottom on various occasions when I was testing the setup. You aren't going to break it.

I got the small cover off w/o any problem. Are all the wires needed to connect radar detector there or do I need to remove the other two? If so, is there a specific way to get them off w/o cracking them?

Check this thread. Answers all your questions.
All wires are there. You don't need to remove the other sections.
Dashcam Thread

I’m connecting a radar detector not a Dashcam. So your saying that all the wires needed are under the small piece I’ve removed.

A dashcam and radar detector are the exact same from a "power" perspective. And yes.

OK finally had a chance to see the connections. Pretty straight forward. Thanks for your help and patience.
