Anyone know how to disable the seatbelt chime? My dog doesn't need to wear it & the noise makes me nuts. Anyone know why it keeps chiming if a passenger takes off but doesn't exit, even after car is put in "Park"?

I’ve not heard of one. I know some cars you used to be able to do that through a series of steps involving turning the key in the ignition etc. If you're having an issue Just because a pet is in a seat I know you can buy dummy plugs that will go into it that will stop any warning. You could also get a seatbelt from a salvage yard and cut it off and insert it as well. As far as the others issues you mentioned I’m not sure. I’ve not heard anyone on here discuss any seatbelt issues before.

Welcome. :)

Did you try connecting the seat belt, before letting the dog in?

fellas, in all sincerity, enough with the jokes or responses not geared to the question. please just answer the question ... what combination of ‘turn on ignition’ and ‘plug in the seat belt x times’ will turn off seat belt chime - a common procedure in most other new cars. if you don’t know please don’t respond with alternate solutions about pulling fuses and getting junk yard 2nd seat belt crap - focus fellas and let’s elevate ourselves

As far as I know, no combination of plug in and unplug does this. I have had several Hyundai’s and a 150lb dog and have never been able to do this, last vehicle I owned that actually did that was a 2005 Chrysler 300c.

Easiest and simplest solution is to purchase a seat belt Insert, It is what I use and have on my last 7 cars, plug it in and the chime goes away remove it and stash in console when not needed.

Just connect the seatbelt without the dog strapped in. I do this when I am out Geocaching and get in an out of the car every 1/4 mile or so. Just connect the seat belt behind me.

Looking for a seat belt buckle insert clip … previous link doesn’t work … anyone else have one ?
