Home Link for community gates

We live in a gated community and I have tried to program the community gate opener into the Home link mirror. Programing worked fine for the garage doors, but the gate opener was a failure. I changed the batteries in the gate opener, and still no joy.
There are people in the community who have successfully programed the gate opener into a home link device in another brand vehicle, so I know it is possible, just not in my Palisade.
Has anyone solved this issue?

sounds like your gate controller may have a rolling code generator. That would mean using the gate remote may not work for the setup.
Look at the programming directions in owner's manual page 3-36 to 3-38. The procedure for the gate will be on 3-38
Unless you can get someone to press the learn button on the gate controller. That would be the easiest route then do page 3-36

No it’s not a rolling code. The unit send a 6 character numeric code. Every clicker has a unique code, which allows the management company to turn openers on and off is one is lost or someone is in arrears on their dues.

Following the clicker route can be a pain and sometimes takes continuous presses on the buttons
check 3-36 and follow the directions is all I can suggest. Maybe someone from the dealership will help you if you ask them.
