I have been hearing about the uptick in Kia and Hyundai thefts, I understand there is an immobilizer on the Hyundai's but that only works if the key fob is not near the car. The thieves are using the relay theft method which is cloning your key fob by detecting it and making a new one and stealing your car without you knowing. Anyone know of a way to disable the wireless key fob? Or any ideas on how to not get your car stolen if you have to park it out on the street or not within a garage?

Keep your key fob in a Faraday bag when not in use. It blocks the signal so it can't be cloned...

This is the way. They have boxes that do this as well. basically get home drop purse or keys in the box and close the lid. Anything in the box doesn't hagve a signal outside of the box
