Infotainment Screen getting really hot and turn signal cameras working intermittently

Hello all,

We have our new palisade ltd at the dealer right now for wind noise and the 2 issues in the title..

I drove from Tampa to Orlando 2 weekends ago. I used apple car play along with the WAZE app and the screen got very hot and unresponsive. Same thing on the way home, this was only a 1.5 hr trip..

Then on Saturday we were driving to dinner and I put the right turn signal on and the camera didn't show up, I tried the left and same thing, no camera.. On the way home from dinner they both worked. The dealer can't duplicate it, as of right now they're doing nothing. Hopefully they can at least fix the wind noise for now, I know there's a TSB out on the wind noise but I wanted to see if anyone else was having similar issues with the screen and blinker cameras??

I recently had an issue with the camera when I use the left turn signal. The camera came on but the picture was all distorted. Almost like the camera jumping. I also have the wind issue and twice my navigation screen went completely black. The radio wouldn’t even turn on. After I shut the vehicle off for about an hour it worked. The dealer can’t find anything wrong with it.
 
Did any of you get this resolved? If so, can you share what was the fix? We've had our Palisade in the shop and they have replaced the camera including the wire all the way into the dash. Still getting black lines on the left side view camera intermittently.

Did they return the car to you knowing it was not repaired ...?

Good luck....you hope they can at "least" fix the wind noise..you must not mind return trips to the dealership..

Steelers, without looking up all previous posts, did you have wind noise and did you get yours solved? I know your attitude is that the dealers should be fixing all of our issues, and I completely agree with you on that, but absent them finding a cure (which they haven't found a sure cure for wind noise as we know), are you cured of your wind noise issues (assuming you suffered from it)?

While I await the long overdue new version of the tsb to fix the windnoise problem,I purchased and installed foam rope in every space possible.
This reduced the wind noise some. YES,you are correct dealers should repair issues.That my friend is the reason,I for one purchase new cars.
Very bad investment,but I do not want a hobbie of fixing cars,like a high-school kid.
Upsetting to me is the fact,there are a handful of issues,that Hyundai attempts to ignore.Tommorow I must waste my time getting a windshield installed.
Safelite is not waiting for Hyundai to ship one in 6 weeks,using another manufacturer.
 
yeah, without a new and redesigned part (which I doubt is coming), I am actually perfectly content with my home fix for the wind whistle I had. I had a dealer offer to replace my window seals, but I figured I wouldn't gamble my hours away on a fix that may not work since the parts haven't been redesigned. My wind issue is 100% gone thanks to foam rope and a little bit of my time.

I was confident when Hyundai pulled the TSB that a new one would be issued, but now that confidence has faded. Funny how some of us have cured our wind issues but Hyundai hasn't!!!!! (not haha funny of course)
 
A few recent posts (and a few older ones as well) pointed out that dealers fixed the wind noise by adjusting the door's alignment. Which isn't something that was in the TSB.

Take it to your dealer instead of waiting for a TSB. Make sure to reproduce the issue for them.

Yeah..now at times they adjust the doors or replace seals..I prefer not to have some honkey wonk..playing around with my car doors.

So let me get this straight: you are of the opinion that dealers should fix all your issues... but you don't want them adjusting your car doors. Man... there's no making you happy. Be proactive and get it fixed... or sell it.

No. Problem has been intermittent. The left camera has issues about every other time we drive it. I'm assuming they replaced the camera and cable, checked the view on the LCD screen and saw it work fine. When I picked up the car and whole ride home the left view camera worked fine every time it came up. Issue reoccurred next day. And keep in mind uts not like something gets fried and stays broken. Problem is intermittent. I really hate intermittent electrical problems....

Hi, Any update on your problem? I have a similar issue with our left side view camera.
