Wondering if there is a way to protect the light/beige leather door panels when car is dropped off at the mechanic. In general, I've noticed mechanics would touch the interior door handle with their dirty hands and I'm worried about the grease and dirt on the leather and stitching around the handle that I not be able to clean. Is there any way to protect that area?.
The seats and steering wheel have covers so that is easy .

try any one of the leather protection products for Auto leather and vinyl
Then stains will clean off easier. Then to if you are that worried about it
do the service your self. You might also note to the service advisor that
these points are not dirty when you check in. then look at them when
you check out

I have good (or bad?) news for you: Neither the door armrests nor the center console lid are leather, so it's easier to clean. Ha ha. And yes, why leather on the door panel, and vinyl on the armrests, are a first for me. But like Gene said, for those of us who absolutely don't trust our dealers (and for good reason, in my case), it's better for us to do our own maintenance. And that's exactly what I do, and will continue to do. I don't know how much money I'd have to get paid to take my car to my dealer for service. And I can tell you it'd have to be pretty close to 4 figures, if at all. Ha ha. I let my oil drain until nothing comes out, check everything out under there, clean everything, and be proud of a job well done :). Good luck.
