Bought a Palisades back in July SEL model. Curious anyone has a problem with headlights coming on automatically during daylight bright sun. No rhyme or reason why but they do. Dealer can't find out what is causing it. Even if you turn the switch off, the dash lights dim just like headlights come on. Going to the dealer Tuesday. I think I have a ghost, the backup camera goes green then picture, A/C on and off by itself. So does anyone else have these strange problems? I thought the SEL had HID Headlights, and aren't they brighter than the LED's?

LEDs are definitely brighter than HIDs, draw less current, and last longer. I thought all Palis came with LEDs, but maybe not. If you're having those issues with the headlight switch in OFF, your vehicle definitely has an electrical issue. Did you buy it new? No accidents ever? Any other service issues? Any electrical accessories added, like a trailer brake controller, etc? Typically there's a reason behind having issues like that, and I suspect the last one I mentioned (bad install). But let us know your vehicle history of mods/accidents/new or used/etc, as well as the year of your Pali (2020s didn't have a brake controller connector), if you want better help. Good luck.

Welcome. Moved this topic out of the forum lounge and updated the title so you can get more help with the issue.

Bought brand new, no accidents, came with trailer package hitch wired everything. It is a 2021, I used the hoppy connection to convert from 4 pins to seven, and the plug was wired for the brake controller. The brake controller needs power, negative, and brake input. So I hooked up + & - to the battery through fuses and connected the brake switch according to Hyundai. These are all parts Hyundai said to use.
