My one annoyance with the Palisade.

been using the Car2Play device on my 2018 Genesis G80 for 2 years, never had an issue. a firmware release was just issued in December 2020 if you haven't done it I suggest it, it got rid of the voice to image lag I had when the kids were watching Netflix in the back seat.. the voice was about 5 seconds behind the video. like watching a 1980s dubbed Bruce Lee movie.

The instructions are terrible. Got it set up easily enough though.

There is a slight lag for the initial morning startup and I noticed the interface looks a little different for Spotify, but it all works and it’s nice of course to not have to wire the phone.

I will Velcro the dongle to the top of the cave, just above the charging pad.
That's how I have mine setup. Works like a champ.

actually, before securing it I decided to stick it to the side so that I could use the USB port on the CarPlay. I have it mounted just below the rim so I can still slide the door closed.
not sure I'll keep it here, but it does allow me to use the usb as a charge port if I choose. I may still end up sticking it to the underside of the cavity where the charge port lives.

I do notice the little lag in the system using carplay2, but I will like with it as the tradeoff for being wireless.

There is a hole in the back of the phone charging area the comes out underneath the front of the console. I purchased a 90° adaptor for the USB port and velcroed the CarPlay2 to the top of the open area below the front of the console. The cord from the CP2 fits through the opening. Very easy and cleaner look.

I'm going to look up that 90 degree adapter. One thing I wanted to keep was the use of a USB charger in our center console area, that's why I taped the CP2 to the side instead of hiding it underneath. I've noticed the CP2 has been slower in synching this past week. Do I need to delete it/wipe it and start over with the installation?
