Hello guys,

I am looking to buy a 2020 limited or 2021 calligraphy. Going through the forum, I found many posts regarding touchscreen not working. Also issues with chipped paint and wind noise. I know this car is great with many features for the price, but how reliable is it? Would be grateful if current owners can give their honest opinion. The other option I have is to go for the highlander or cx-9. Telluride is so difficult to get your hands on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Well it’s hard to get any real long term views as it’s not been out very long. I’ve had mine since May and I’ve not had any issues with it yet.

touchscreens not working? I'm not aware of that being a widespread issue.

Smelly seats/headrests, wind noise, and brittle windshields have the largest number of complaints.

I've had mine since March and would buy again without hesitation, and I compared it directly with the CX-9 and the new Highlander (also the MDX). I didn't drive the Highlander after looking at it (refused the test drive since I wasn't impressed with the interior). Take a look at the Subaru Ascent too, but if you're comparing utility and value then you'll come back to the Palisade since nothing can touch it right now.

I have had mine for just over a year now and have over 30,000 trouble free miles on it.

6 Months and not a single issue.

Remember everyone is here to learn and complain.
There have been over 60,000 Palisades made and
the complaints are a very small percentage of that
That's not to say that those who got one with these
problems shouldn't complain and expect a fix.
Just make sure to take a really good test drive and
include over 70 highway speed. If it has a problem
let dealer fix before buying or look at a different Palisade.

The Palisades is replacing a mazda cx5, which is quite a joy to ride but nothing close to what hyundai offers in terms of features. I still have a toyota camry with over 150,000 miles and really happy with toyota for how well they make their machines. Just a little unsure about owning my first korean car, although more reassured from all of your responses. Please continue to drop in with your experiences. Thank you!
