So I bought my new 2021 Palisade in April and a few weeks ago I had my car notify me it’s time for service. I haven’t had it in up until this point. I had a lot going on the month of July and didn’t get it in at 7,500. I called this week to get it serviced and they can’t get me in until August 20th. That seem so long! My Honda dealership always got me in within the week for my old Accord. Now I’m supposed to drive for vacation next week and I’m not sure if I should try just going to “Average Joe Garage” to get an oil change or wait until August 20th. I’m currently at 8,000 miles and I’m going to be traveling another 300 for vacation. Then I have another week before my oils change. I’ll more than likely be over 8,500 by that point. I don’t know what i should do. Any help would be appreciated!

If you’re going to be over 8500 miles before you can get it in I’d just go get it changed. I think the window is a thousand miles before or after the 7500 miles for the free maintenance. Maybe try another dealership if possible. You’re not locked into the one you bought it at.
