My Palisade
2020 Limited
This is unlikely to happen and so weird! After stopping for coffee and getting back into my 2020 Limited, I shut my door on my seat-belt. We've all done this, right? Anyway the door hit the belt at the point where the buckle stop (looks like a button) is. What happened was the button got jammed hard into the slit on the buckle. It would not budge. It took me about five minutes to free it. It ended up breaking off (so now the buckle falls to the floor after unfastening it). I had to get it free because the Palisade will not move unless the driver is buckled. I couldn't buckle it because of it being stuck it wouldn't reach. When I got home I stuck a safety pin in place where the button was.

FWIW, the palisade will move without the driver being buckled. You just have to manually release the parking brake.

Yeah, it even moves with the door open, but you have to hit D (or R) TWICE. The first time it goes back to P right away, while squawking at you. But the second time it stays in gear, and of course while still squawking at you. Ha ha. I miss having a freaking shift lever, and one attached to the transmission, since the electronic ones are the same thing as buttons.
