On the underside of the cover over the "hidden access" area at the backend of the interior of the Palisade there is a hook-like thing on a cord. What is its purpose and how do you use it? Maybe its purpose is obvious but, none the less, I am baffled. Help please.

You loop the hook around the 3rd-row’s center seat’s head rest’s mounts in order to keep the cover over the hidden compartment open. This can be needed when carrying tall suitcases, which require extra vertical space, for example.

Fantastic! Now I know everything. Who woulda thunk it? Thanks.

Or to allow access to items in the hidden storage area…

Ready for Armageddon?:p That hook is to hold the cover up when you have the 3rd seat up. Not sure where exactly you're supposed to clip it, but was told that's the purpose of it. I never have the 3rd seat up, so couldn't verify that. Hope this helps.

Do you have a lockable lid or way to secure that area? In the market for console safe or truck vault but options are slim as Palisade has a very small market in comparison to Explorer, Suburban, Durango, etc
