Question about length of time from order to delivery

Looking through some of the forum (which I am new to), I was wondering how long some of you had to wait for your perfect Palisade to be delivered from the time you ordered it. Is upwards to 3 weeks to a month about right or is it longer or shorter? I saw some posts with a 2 1/2 week wait, but is that the norm? I'm looking to hopefully get a 2022 Palisade at some point and would like to get it in Lagoon Silver.

Hyundai dealers don't order Palisade's from the factory. Hyundai Motor America (HMA) orders them from the Korean factory far in advance based on the trim levels and colors they think dealers will want. When you go to a dealer and "order" a vehicle, the dealer will try and reserve a particular trim and color combination that has already been ordered from the factory by HMA, but not yet allocated or delivered to a dealer. So it is hard to know how long it will take to find the exact combination you want, and it may depend on how many others want that same trim and color combination, versus how many were originally ordered. A dealer may also be able to trade vehicles with another dealer, but that is harder to do with a Palisade because they are so popular right now and dealer inventory is low.

Right now, the Palisade is in short supply, especially for Limited and Calligraphy trim levels. Many dealers are asking several thousand over MSRP for these models. The more you are willing to pay, the quicker you can get one.
